Dyke Hike: Wissahickon South
LezLite is embarking on a series of three hikes in the greatest urban wilderness in the world (in our humble opinions)! Join us for three hikes exploring the different regions of the Wissahickon, all contained within the city of Philadelphia. From the southern points of the Wissahickon near where it empties into the Schuylkill River to the northern reaches where lazy meadows stretch from copse to copse. Hikes start early because parking always fills up in the limited lots available around the Wissahickon. Please be on time - we will depart by 9:15am. Dogs are welcome!
Meeting Location: Blue Bell Park Pavilion
After parking, please locate the pavilion and meet there. We will head out by 9:15am. This parking lot fills up quickly on the weekend, so please arrive on time.
Our hike should cover approximately 6 miles and should take a little over three hours.…
